Utilizing Additional Software Licenses

Each Diagnosys system purchase includes 3 additional software licenses, more may be purchased. These licenses will allow for the option to download Diagnosys software onto additional computers that are not linked directly to the physical system hardware.

The first step is to download and install the software. The second step will be to select a method for transferring data. Options are manual or automatic transfer.


1. Install the Software

1. Connect with Diagnosys Support to acquire the username / password to diagnosysllc.com/software/setup/

2. Log on and double click to download "current software version" Setup (Installer).exe

3. Allow the program to run and make changes to your computer

4. Follow all prompts and defaults, selecting "yes" "okay" and "continue" when appropriate

5. Complete the installation and open the software from the desktop icon


2. Transfer Data

Data transfer can be done manually by Copying Databases & Transferring Files (option 1) or automatically by connecting computers to a shared network location (option 2).


Manual Data Transfer

This method requires manual copy / pasting of either individual test files or entire databases into an intermediary location such as a USB thumb drive or cloud location.


Option 1: Copy Entire Database

The advantage of this method is that every single subject and test is moved all together.  

a. Open This PC

b. Locate (C:) Drive

c. Enter into Multifocal folder

d. Open Databases sub-folder

e. Copy the database onto a thumb drive, or into a cloud location

f. Transport this file to an analysis computer

g. Paste the database into the C:/Multifocal/Databases location

h. Open Diagnosys software

i. Click "Database Center"

j. "Connect" to the database location (from step g.)

k. Close and proceed to reviewing data

Important note: Be aware that if changes are made to tests on a personal computer, they are saved only to this local version of database. Pasting a later version of the same database over top of this file will delete all the work previously done; so pay attention to the message "An existing file already exists, would you like to override it?" and answer NO if you've made changes to the local database that you'd like to keep.


Option 2: Copy Individual Tests

Your holy grail will be the TRANSFER key. Transfer is found on nearly every software page: Patient page, Protocols page, Old Tests page. Utilize Patient > Transfer to have the option of transferring ALL tests for a given subject in one file. Or, use Old Tests > Transfer to move specific tests. Don't use Protocols > Transfer unless you're moving just the test file.


Transfer Tests from Single or All Subjects

a. Go to Subject Page

b. Click Transfer

c. Choose whether to include only current, or all patients

d. Select "Include tests"

e. Output file


f. Move this file(s) to your analysis computer

g. Open the software

h. Select "Database Center"

i. Choose "Transfer In"

j. Locate file and Open

k. Close one the blue bar is complete


Transfer Tests from a Specific Protocol

a. Go to Protocols Page

b. Select protocol of interest

c. Click "Old Tests"

d. Decide whether to keep it Patient or Protocol specific

e. Click Transfer 

f. Select whether you'd like to transfer out Current or All listed tests

g. Output file


h. Move this file(s) to your analysis computer

i. Open the software

j. Select "Database Center"

k. Choose "Transfer In"

l. Locate file and Open

m. Close one the blue bar is complete


Automatic Data Transfer

This method requires syncing databases to a shared network location.
